Artist Statement
I work with light as both subject and collaborator. Through photography and video, I follow the point where a waterfront, palm, room, or stage stops feeling purely documentary and begins to carry energy, drift, and presence.
Using motion blur, exposure drift, in-camera movement, and reflection, I look for the brief alignment when light transforms the familiar. A sunrise can become a field of radiance. A palm can become a vertical column. A concert can become a pulse of haze and reflection. Light is not passive in this work. It shapes perception, emotion, and presence.
Based in Boca Raton and working across Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Ormond Beach, DeLand, Daytona Beach, and the surrounding coastal field, I use the camera to slow time just enough for that transformation to register. The finished image remains the work. Motion exists only to clarify how the image arrives, holds, and disappears.
